Introduction

Department of Radiology FMU has always been the backbone of the hospital for providing the diagnostic facilities. Faculty consists of teaching staff, radiologists, PG trainees, medical officers and medical staff.
The Radiology Department of Faisalabad Medical University is a highly equipped Department with two 1.5T MRI, 128slice MDCT scanner, color Doppler, ultrasound, X-rays and mammography machines. The Department is offering 24 hours round the clock emergency services to the public. Highly sophisticated procedures like coronary Ct angiography, angiography of circle of villus, virtual colonoscopy, MRA, MR spectroscopies are being carried out regularly with high level of quality in addition to the routine work.
The department is fully recognized for fellowship training and offering FCPS and MCPS training for the full 4 years with qualified training supervisors. It was recognized for FCPS training in 2009 and has brought forth approximately 20 FCPS fellows with distinction to serve the humanity nationwide. At the moment the department is having 24 FCPS students undergoing training. The Department is affiliated with PINUM for nuclear medicine and also recognized for FRCR training.
The Department has an excellent record for providing routine medical care to the patients in addition to the academic activities.
