Undergraduate Medical Research
Conference
“Publish Or
Parish” is a famous adage in medical education but there is very
little emphasis in under graduate research in Pakistan . Punjab
Medical College took the initiative to introduce Research
Culture in medical students. Undergraduate Research competition
series was introduced in 2000.Since then it has been a regular
event in the institution . 5th Undergraduate Research
Competition was held in February 2011. Now it was decided to
bring this event at National Level. A one day Research
Conference will be held in the last week of January 2012.
AIMS &
OBJECTIVES:

To emphasize
the curricular segment of undergraduate Research in Medical
education.
·
To educate
students for conduction presentation and publication of
research.
·
To promote
the culture of research among medical students and prove a
platform for the encouragement in the form of reward for quality
work.
