It was another bright morning when PMC’s colorful cultural event of Student Teacher Cricket Match was relived. The event started with the official inauguration of the sports day by Prof. Dr. A. G. Rehan (Principal of Punjab  Medical College, Faisalabad).

The first event was the Marathon race in the college campus. There were 76 participants. The positions were as follows :

1.     Talha (First Year)

2.     Imran Sheikh (Fourth Year)

After the marathon, the student teacher match started. The student team comprised of:

1. Mujahid Mughal (Captain) (Final Year)

2. Wajahat Hussain (Final Year)

3. Farhan Sarwar (Final Year)

4. Ata – ur – Rehman (Final Year)

5. Wahab Qureshi (Final Year)

6. Adnan Arshad (Final Year)

7. Khurram Kumbo (Final Year)

8. Munib Ullah Mirza (Final Year)

9. Behram Khan (Final Year)

10.Muhammad Waseem (Final Year)

11.Yasir Sultan (Final Year)

12.Ali Arshad ( 4th Year)

13.Tamsil (4th Year)

14.Afzaal (4th Year)

15.Usama Saeed (3rd Year)
      16.Nabeel Cheema (3rd Year)

It started off with the teachers wining the toss and electing to bat. The teachers as ‘expected’ batted superbly scoring 750/3 and giving the students an ‘unchasable’ target. The students wickets ‘collapsed’ one by one giving the teachers an expected victory. It was followed by the presentation ceremony. The prizes were as follows:

    

·   Best Batsman (Teachers) – Prof. Mohammad Saeed

·   Best Batsman (Students) – Rai Khizar

·   Best Bowler (Teachers) – Dr. Bashir Ahmad

·   Best Bowler (Students) – Khurram Ijaz

·   Best Fielder (Teachers) – Dr. Khalid Mahmood

·   Best Commentator – Dr. Asghar Butt, Dr. Ijaz shah

·   First Teacher entering ground – Prof. Hafeez Ch.

·   Handsome Teacher – Dr. Mahdi Raza

·   Most Popular Teacher – Dr. Kaukab Shakeel

·   Best Umpire – Prof. Farooq Mian

·   Technically best Batsman – Dr. Yousaf Shah

·   Technically best Bowler – Dr. Rana Qaiser

·   Best Supporter among Teachers – Dr. Ahmad Saeed

·   Best Supporting class – 1st Year

·   Youngest Batsman (Teachers) – Prof. Rasool Ch.

·   Woman of the Day – Prof. Tasneem Cheema

 

*** The official inaguration of sports week was on 22nd March 2006 by the traditional Student-Teacher cricket match and marathan.

*** Sports secretary from boys is Mujahid Mughal (Final Year) & from Girls is Nadia Ali (Final Year)

*** Assist. Sports Secretary from boys and girls are Afzaal Javed & Saira Zafar from 4th year.
