Flood relief Camp at
Dhookar, District, Jhang

Punjab Medical
College relief team visited Village Dhookar, which is situated
almost on the river bank of Jehlum river in Jhang District. From
60 KM sign on Sargodha Jhang road the link road goes to this
village which is about 10 Km from the main road. The team
comprised following doctors:-

Administrative
incharge was Lt.Col (Rtd) Muhammad Khan with seven security
gaurds.
The road was broken
at many places and the residents on self-help basis had repaired
it only recently. The team reached there at 9:30. About 450
patients were collective seen by the doctors of the team. These
patients mainly Malaria, Chest infection, GIT problems, Skin
diseases and Eye problems. They were given full course of all the
medicines required. These medicines had been supplied by DHQ
Hospital, Faisalabad and Allied Hospital Fsd. Main share came from
DHQ Hospital.
Simultaneously with
medical treatment Col. Muhammad Khan started distributing the
ration packs. These were again standard bags with complete ration
for one week in a family of 4-6 people. 275 packs were
distributed. After this about 10 packs of clothes were distributed
too.
People of the area
were highly satisfied as no other relief team had reached this
place.
