POST STAGE FUNCTION (2nd
YEAR)

It’s been a tradition of Anatomy department to organize a “Post
Stage Function” for the students after a hectic and tiresome
Stage Examination. So keeping up the tradition the Post Stage
Function of Brain of 2nd year took place on 11th
of May, 2010 in Anatomy Lecture Hall. The function started at
sharp 9:00 am after the arrival of our worthy Head of Department
Prof. Dr. Hafiz Imtiaz Abdur Reheem, Dr.Nabeela Kaukab, Dr.
Khalid Mahmood, Dr. Muhammad Ismil, Dr. Anwar, Dr. Zahid Raza,
Dr. Maqbool, Dr. Sohail, Dr. Ruheena Qayum, Dr. Navida Rashid
and others. The guests were seated after a warm welcome by the
students. The function was hosted by Miss Jamila Ali and Mr.
Hassan Sattar who were also the organizers. Hafiz Muhammad Yasin
was called on stage for the recitation of Holy Quran followed by
Naat by Komal Ahmad. A beautiful poem “My Mother” was recited by
Iqra Taqi. The audience was totally involved in the words of
poem. Then there was a game between the girls and boys students
hosted by Rabia Javed and Talha Niaz. It consisted of four
games. They were balloon blowing competition, tongue twister
round, IQ test and the color game. Maimoona Nazir, Neaum Shahid
and Nazish Gul participated from girl’s side and Raza Chatha,
Asad Arshad and Hafiz Muhammad Hanif participated from the boy’s
side. The game was won by boys by one point. The audience really
enjoyed this funny war. Then a song “unche zameen” was sung by
Genesis and a skit was presented by boys. This skit depicted the
trend of materialism prevailing in the present age. In the next
segment Tazmeen Jahangir recited “Shikwa” and
“Jawabe-e-Shikwa”was by Hafiz Muhammad Zubair. Everyone was
spell bound and appreciated with their applauses.
This was followed by a beautiful song “Maa” by Saliha and Saud
Sarwar. A funny parody of certain politicians was presented by
Amir, Ahmad and others. The scornful incident of Earth Quake of
Pakistan was presented on Multi-Media with a song “Eik din aye
ga” by Asad Arshad and Amir Imtiaz. A funny movie by Jamila Ali
was shown and a movie “Tribute to Teachers” deeply touched the
hearts of students. Then the final segment was of prize
distribution to the position holders of the Head and Neck and
Brain Stage Examinations. Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Abdur Reheem
presented certificates to the 1st, 2nd and
3rd positions. This was also provoking for the other
students to work harder. Then he addressed the students and
appreciated their efforts in organizing this wonderful function.
Finally National Anthem was sung and this event ended leaving
endless marks on the minds of everyone. |
