MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR PMRC WITH THE PRINCIPAL, PUNJAB MEDICAL COLLEGE, FAISALABAD DATED 11^TH MAY, 2010

Dr. Huma Qureshi, (Tagma-e-Imtiaz, and Fellow Ship Award from Royal College of Physicians, Ireland), Executive Director PMRC visited the PMRC Research Centre, Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad on 11^th May, 2010 to see the research activities at the centre as well as to discuss solve the centre problems thereof with the staff members.

The Executive Director also had a meeting with the Principal/Honorary Director, PMRC Research Centre, in his Conference Room on the same day at 10:45 A.M. till 11:45 A.M. Following were the participants:

• 1. Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain, Principal/Honorary Director, PMRC Research Centre.

• 2. Dr. Huma Qureshi, Executive Director, PMRC Head Office, Islamabad.

• 3. Prof. Dr. Tasnim Cheema, Head, Physiology Department.

• 4. Prof. Dr. Zahid Iqbal, Head, Urology Department.

• 5. Prof. Dr. Janbaz Ahmed, Head, Pathology Department/Honorary PRO, PMRC

• 6. Dr. Imitiaz Ahmed Dogar, Head, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

• 7. Mr. Taj Muhammad, Deputy Director (Admin), PMRC H/O, Islamabad.

• 8. Mr. Khawaja Asim, Deputy Director (B&A), PMRC Head Office, Islamabad.

• 9. Ms. Saman Bukhari, B&A Officer, PMC, Faisalabad.

• 10.Ms. Amen Bukhari, IT Department, PMC, Faisalabad.

• 11.Mr. Muhammad Yaqoob Javaid, Stenographer, PMRC Res. Centre.

• 12.Ms. Ghazala Moihyuddin Arain, PRO/Centre Incharge, PMRC.

• 13.Dr. Syed Jawwad Husain, SRO, PMRC Research Centre.

1. The meeting started with recitation from the Holy Quran (with translation) by Dr. Syed Jawwad Husain.
2. Prof. Riaz Hussain cordially welcome the participants especially the guests from PMRC Head Office, Islamabad.
3. Centre Incharge (Ms. Ghazala Moihyuddin Arain) introduced the Executive Director, Deputy Director Finance (B&A) and Deputy Director (Admin) to Prof Riaz Hussain.
4. With the help of a multi-media presentation, Prof. Riaz Hussain enlightened the participants with the Punjab Medical College set-up and the academic/research activities as were being carried out by it. Prof. Riaz Hussain spoke at length impressively to provide a deep vision to the participants about the functioning of the institution.
5. Dr. Huma Qureshi appreciated the activities being done in the institution, both at academic and research levels. Dr. Huma also highlighted the research work being carried out by the local PMRC Research Centre and their multi-centre studies. Upon that, Prof. Riaz Hussain offered his all-out help towards the execution of the research work being carried at the centre.
6. Dr. Huma Qureshi also enlightened the participants about the research work/activities being carried out by the PMRC Head Office, Islamabad. The participants took keen interest in the speech of Dr. Huma Qureshi.
7. Dr. Huma Qureshi also mentioned that a workshop will be held in Faisalabad regarding Ethics in Research and other hospitals will also be invited to participate to gain maximum benefit from the workshop
8. Towards end of the meeting, Prof. Riaz Hussain thankfully acknowledged participation of the participating academicians/clinicians of the institution.
9. A photo session of the participants was also carried out in which bouquets were presented to the PMRC guests from Islamabad by Prof. Tasnim Cheema, whereas Prof. Zahid Iqbal, Chief Editor APMC and Dr. Janbaz Ahmed Chief Editor, Student Magazine, ‘Parwaz’ presented copies of APMC and Parwaz to Dr. Huma Qureshi, Executive Director PMRC, Mr. Taj Muhammad, Deputy Director (Admin) and Mr. Khawja Asim, Deputy Director (B&A), PMRC Head Office, Islamabad.
