DEPARTMENT ACTIVITIES

Lectures, practicals and tutorials of undergraduate and postgraduate students through most modern, methods with latest Audio-visual aids from medical universities of England. Practical Demonstrations are conducted in well equipped laboratories. The students are involved in training for paper writing by giving them regular assignment with references from most modern journals.

ACHIEVEMENTS

   The department is chaired by Professor Dr. M. Naeem who is an M.Phil in Pharmacology. He is doing Ph.D in Pharmacology. He was awarded Junior Gold Medal award and prize of Rs.10,OOOI- for winning all Pakistan Research Paper competition by Pakistan Academy of Medial Sciences. He has eight research paper in his credit. He is also member of Drug Court, Sargodha & Faisalabad Division since 1999.

     Dr. Rana Tariq Mahmood, Associate professor was demonstrator in this department before doing his M.Phil. He is doing Ph.D in Pharmacology. He has eight research papers in his credit. He has been deputed to Saudi Arabia for one year as Associate Professor in one of the medical colleges. Three demonstrators have completed FCPS while serving in this Department.

    Dr. Muhammad Abid, Dr. Riaz Hussain, Dr. Abdul Aziz, Dr. Muhammad Khalid Bhatti, Dr. Obaid Anwar and Dr. Nazir Ahmad are doing M.Phil in Pharmacology through direct enrolment program by University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

   Dr. Safdar Ali, Medical Technologist has done Ph.D,. from UAF and has three research papers in his credit. Mrs. Fariha Nazneen, Pharmaceutical Chemist is M.Phil.

   Mr. Azhar-ul-Haque, Laboratory Asistant did his graduation during his stay in this department.
