Hepatitis
Awareness Walk
At
11am, a Hepatitis Awareness Walk starting from Allied
Emergency ending at PMC admin block took place under
supervision of Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain
(Principal PMC). The other participants included Prof. Dr. Zahid Yaseen Hashmi (HOD Medicine), Prof. Dr Farooq
Mian (HOD ENT), Dr. Akmal Sharif (HOD MU-V) and Dr. Hina
Ayesha . Organizers of the event were Dr. Amir Shaukat, Dr.
Masood, Dr. Irfan, Dr. Sajjad and Dr. Maqsood. A huge number
of Doctors, Medical students and Pharmaceutical personnel
attended the walk. Prof. Dr. Zahid Yaseen Hashmi delivered
the starting speech in which he emphasized the need of
awareness amongst the masses. This was followed by a dynamic
speech by Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain, in which he suggested that
pamphlets should be printed and distributed among the general
public as an awareness technique. He also stressed on the role
that should be played by media, both press and electronic for the
sake of awareness amongst the community. In the end anti hepatitis
slogans were raised and the walk came to an end.
