UHS has taken the lead by including the subject of B.S for organized teaching and training at the under graduate level in all its affiliated institutes. University will hold 1^st Examination in B.S in 2007. This historic step will bring the graduate of UHS at par with their counter parts around the word.

The knowledge of B.S can of great personal advantage to a medical student. B.S is a high profile subject in all the major medical school in UK, USA, EUROP, JAPAN, MALAYSIA, THILAND, AND SINGAPOR. So UHS decided to give a gift to its students in the form of a book. The book entitled “hand book of behavioral sciences for medical and dental students by M H Rana.

This book was distributed in a ceremony held in pharmacology lecture hall on 14/04/07.The Chief Guest was Prof. Dr. Malik Hussain Mubbashar, V.C, UHS Lahore. The Guest of Honor was Dr. Yusuf Shah Incharge SU-4 DHQ. In his address VC said that this subject of BS would not only prepare you for the forthcoming exams but also to sow the seed of sensitivity of scientific inquiry and of becoming a life long learner of a human being’s physical, psychological and social world including health and infirmity. At the end of ceremony Question Answer session was held in which the VC gave answers of various questions asked by the students in a very methodical and comprehensive way.
