It was 6^th of April, 2006 when 2^nd professional result announced by the University of Health sciences, Lahore. The most surprising and exciting thing was the achievement of top 4 positions in the university by the students of Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad. Such happenings are very rarely seen in the history of medical institutions and it was first time in the history of any medical university that al the top 4 positions gone on the credit of one affiliated medical college, that is Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad. Hat is not the only achievement by the students of Punjab Medical College. The top positions in UHS in Final Professional, 3^rd professional and 1^st professional part I, 2005 are on the credit of PMC as well.

            Upon these great achievements, Principal PMC Prof. Dr. A. G. Rehan announced a special ceremony for appreciation, encouragement and prize distribution to the position holders. So the ceremony was successfully held on 10^th of May in the college auditorium.

            The program started at 10:00 am with the name of Allah and saying of Naat (PBUH) by Miss Huda Haq (3^rd year). Dr. Zahid Masood, Head Community Medicine department, presented the welcome address. He welcomed the Chief Guest Prof. A. G. Rehan, honorary Prof. Zaidi (Member BOM), all the faculty members and students & their parents.

            Then Prof. A. G. Rehan came o the stage and appreciated the efforts & hardworking of the students. He said that whole credit of such achievements goes to the hardworking and skilled teachers of PMC. He also congratulated the parents of position holder students.

            After this, certificates were awarded to the position holders. First of all, Prof. Zaidi presented the certificate to MISS JAVARIA KHALID for being the university topper of 1^st proff. Part I, 2005. She was also given a certificate for having distinction in the subject of Anatomy. Then, top 4 position holders of 2^nd proff. were awarded with certificates by principal Prof. A. G. Rehan. The students were, MISS IQRA HAFEEZ (1^st position in UHS), MISS KIRAN NOUREEN (sharing the 1^st position in UHS), MISS NAGEENA SHAHZADI (2^nd Position in UHS), MISS AISHA KHALID (3^rd position in UHS). Next classes were 4^th year (3^rd proff.) and final proff. MISS AMNA SAEED,  having 3^rd position in UHS in 3^rd proff. 2005 and MISS NAZIA IJAZ who got the highest marks in final proff, 2005 were given certificates.

            Lastly, Prof. Muhammad Saeed, who arranged the function in a very short period of time, was called on the stage. He spoke the words of thanks to Prof. A. G. Rehan, Prof. Zaidi, all the faculty members, students and their parents for attending & making this a memorable occasion.

            Refreshment was given to the faculty members and the parents.
