The Pathology Academic Award Ceremony is a regular event organized by the Department of Pathology, Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad. This year the Award Ceremony for the session (2003-2005) was held on 18th March, 2006 in the lecture hall of Pathology Department. The ceremony was attended by staff members of clinical and basic sciences and students of final year, 4th year and I 3rd year. Dr. Qaiser Mehmood and Dr. Saadia Hameed made all the necessary arrangements to make the function a success.

The ceremony started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Ahsan of final year followed by recitation of Naat by Mr. Aftab Munir of 4th year. Dr. Saadia Hameed acting as stage secretary made the announcements. Prof. Dr. A. G. Rehan, Principal, PMC was the chief guest. Prof. Dr. Janbaz Ahmed, Head of Pathology Department and chief organizer of the ceremony, delivered the welcome address. The chief guest and heads of different faculties gave away the prizes to the students.

Best Graduate Award: It is worth cash' prize of Rs.7500/- and is given to the student who collectively tops in internal assesment, performance in challenge Trophy and marks of 3rd Prof. (Pathology subject). Miss Amna Saeed was declared the Best Graduate Award Winner for the session 2003-2005.

Pathology Challenge Trophy Competition comprises of a comprehensive objective type Examination of the top 20 students in the theory class tests of the session.

The competition declared Mr. Ata-ur-Rehman the winner of the Pathology Challenge Trophy. Whereas, runner up award of Pathology Challenge Trophy went to Miss Sana Maghees. All the Top 20 students were also a warded with certificates of merit.

              To encourage the regular students, the following were awarded the top 3 best Attendance Certificates in Pathology for the year 2003-2005.

1^st Position: Miss Ambreen Maqsood

2^nd Position: Miss Ayesha Younus

3^rd Position: Miss Amna Saeed and Miss Sadaf Munir

On the basis of securing top marks in the subject of Pathology in 3rd Prof. Exam, the following students were awarded the prizes:

1^st Position: Miss. Sana Mughees

2^nd Position: Miss Amna Saeed

3^rd Position: Miss' Faiza Niaz

The Department acknowledges the services of Mr. Shuja Dar of 4th year, for his responsibility of arranging all the prizes in the hall.

The chief guest in his address congratulated the prize winners and appreciated the efforts and policy of encouraging the students to up grade the academic standards of the institution in the subject of Pathology.
