220^th National Conference of Cardiology

Welcome Note

On behalf of Pakistan Cardiac Society and Organizing Committee.  I feel great pleasure to invite you at 20th National Conference of Cardiology 2008 at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium on 21st to 23rd November, 2008.

I am confident that we will be able to make this conference a very special and memorable event, not only for Medical Community of Faisalabad but also for Pakistan Cardiac Society.  The scientific sessions of conference will be dominated by scientific data from worthy speakers.  This will be beneficial for post graduate trainees, district specialists and family physicians.  Keeping in view this background, the congress will focus on new aspects and current updates, introduced recently in the field of coronary artery disease, risk factors management and modification, in addition to other aspects of cardiology, as a whole.

We wish that all the family physicians and specialists of the region both from urban and rural areas to participate in this conference to update their knowledge, especially on prevention of coronary artery disease which is one of the major killers of the human life.

The host for this conference is Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology, established on 13th November, 2007.  It is a highly specialized 202 bedded tertiary care hospital exclusively for the treatment of  cardiac diseases.

Faisalabad is the 3rd largest city of Pakistan known as “Manchester of Pakistan”, famous all over the world for its high standard textile products.  Population of Faisalabad Division is 18 million.  The city of Faisalabad has a lot to offer to visitors with extreme friendly atmosphere.
