Department of Cardiology, Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad is headed by DR. Mohammad Javeed Iqbal.

A state of the art facility has been introduced in DHQ Faislabad. Central Monitoring along with the Bed Side Monitoring in order to keep a check on all the patients. It includes a 55 bedded fully equipped ward.

The cardiology Department of DHQ Hospital Punjab Medical College is a tertiary care center, which caters large population of Faisalabad and its periphery. Because of its also providing care to the population of adjoining of Sargodha and Multan. A brief introduction of department is as under.

There is in CCU with all the monitoring facilities. Temporary pacemakers and permanent pace makers are placed.

Emergency Department has also been made a part and parcel of this facility, in order to deal with the spontaneous and simultaneous cases. The emergency room has monitoring and resuscitation facilities established in CCU.

 It includes a 55 bedded fully equipped ward.

ANGIOGRAPHY & ANGIOPLASTY

Along with this the major things ANGIOGRAPHY & ANGIOPLASTY has been started since 31^st July, 2005.

1) Echocardiography

3)  Color Doppler and e/w,

4) Pulse wave Doppler has been provided since 1999.
